SwipeSense Names Point-of-Care Executive Jeff Baker as Chief Commercial Officer

EVANSTON, Ill., April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SwipeSense, Inc., a privately-held health and safety technology company focused on reducing hospital-acquired infections, today announced the appointment of Jeff Baker to serve as Chief Commercial Officer.  Mr. Baker brings more than 20 years of sales and market implementation experience to the Company, and has a strong background in strategic planning and technology utilization in patient-focused settings.

Prior to joining SwipeSense, Mr. Baker has served a number of point-of-care companies in increasingly responsible positions for sales, sales management and market commercialization.  This included key assignments at i-STAT Corporation, the pioneer of point-of-care diagnostic testing which helped define that industry, as well as Epocal, Inc., also a point-of-care diagnostic testing company, and later, Mobisante, a point-of-care imaging/ultrasound company.  Mr. Baker also has experience with other innovative technology companies where he directed efforts to significantly change industry inefficiencies and improve workplace practices.
