LONDON, Feb. 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Swedish New Energy Technologies Ltd (S-NET) will present at CleanEquity Monaco 2016 on March 3rd & 4th at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco.
CleanEquity Monaco is an annual invitation-only event hosted by Innovator Capital, the London based specialist investment bank.
Other partners and sponsors include Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Covington & Burling, Cranfield University, Parkview, PR Newswire, Deloitte, Gillamor Stephens, Enereau, the Monte-Carlo SBM, The Monaco Economic Board, International University of Monaco and the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco.
An expert panel has identified S-NET as one of the world's most innovative cleantech companies and has selected them to present to senior financial and strategic cleantech investors, policy makers, legislators, end users and media.
S-NET is developing BiomassPowerPac, modular biomass-powered fuel cell electricity generator, to power cellular towers beyond reliable grid supply. S-NET will launch in Africa where operators expect to save between 30% and 50% of the total cost of power, which currently makes up about 50% of infrastructure OPEX costs, as well as eliminate the carbon footprint and all noxious emissions.
The BiomassPowerPac will extend the economically feasible network range further into rural areas. Access to cellular signal, small-scale power and local jobs (biomass collection and processing) is a major enabler of socio-economic development of chronically poor people. In many places, it will establish a virtuous circle of higher revenues for the operators and further upliftment of the people.
S-Net is working closely with PowerCell Sweden AB, a leading developer of fuel cell and associated liquid fuel processing systems, and also with a global network operator and a number of international and African power contractors and system integrators. S-NET is collaborating with two South African Universities leading in the area of catalysis, biomass gasification and synthetic liquid fuel production. The South African government seeks to promote industries that use platinum-group metals and there is potential to tap into industrial and R&D grants and incentives. The Swedish government is active in Africa, promoting access to power, economic and environmental upliftment.
