SWC Wins Design Award for Mrs. Prindable's E-Commerce Website
Leverages SWC's Digital Design & Integration Services to Improve Online Performance
OAK BROOK, Ill., Aug. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Technology consultancy SWC Technology Partners today announced that it has been awarded Outstanding Achievement in Website Development by the Interactive Media Awards™ (IMA) for its work on a new e-commerce website for Mrs. Prindable's, a purveyor of gourmet caramel apples (http://www.mrsprindables.com/). The site was one of only 19 honorees out of 182 entries submitted in the e-commerce category for Q2 2012, based on judging criteria including design, content, feature functionality, usability and standards compliance.
The project involved a targeted redesign of Mrs. Prindable's outgoing website to drive increased sales. Features incorporated by SWC's digital design team included expanded merchandising real estate to encourage purchases, advanced analytics to track user navigation patterns for site optimization, and a custom third-party e-commerce platform engineered to minimize costs and add flexibility. The site has logged significant increases in conversion rates since its debut just before the 2011 holiday season.
The IMA award marks a strong beginning for the SWC Design division, which was recently launched as an extension of SWC's core technology solution portfolio. The division provides web and mobile design for customer-facing websites and mobile apps, as well as development of internal SharePoint sites that drive SharePoint adoption by delivering a visually compelling, time-saving and high-value user experience. Designers work in tandem with SWC search engine optimization specialists who assist in structuring the architecture, code and content of each site to enhance visibility in online search results.
The design team also has access to SWC's large in-house team of solutions experts and software developers, providing important on-site technical resources to support design projects. SWC consultants and engineers are available to aid designers in selecting and delivering the appropriate back-end technology and development services, including programming and integration where needed. SWC's years of experience with business solutions , including hundreds of SharePoint implementations since 2005, also helps ensure the success of design projects in meeting business objectives.
"Every element of an e-commerce website must be optimized to sell, from product presentation and the shopping cart to search engine optimization. We focused on that goal with the Mrs. Prindable's project, and it has paid off," said Elliott Baretz, Vice President of SWC Technology Partners, Inc. "This award from IMA reflects the power of the finished site to inspire purchases, execute transactions, and do what the client asked: drive business."
