The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants Sponsor First-Time U.S. Workshop on Accounting for Sustainability
NEW YORK, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The AICPA and Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants will conduct a workshop on "The Business Case for Sustainability: How to Engage & Develop Strategies" on Sept. 30 - Oct. 1. The workshop will give financial executives - Chief Financial Officers, Certified Public Accountants and Chartered Accountants - the information they need to implement a business sustainability initiative for their organizations.
"Sustainability is about bottom-line business operations that are impacting the supply chain. Organizations are increasingly linking their performance to the economic, environmental and social costs of doing business. Executives need new skills to measure, account and report on their activities, while evaluating risks and opportunities," said Robert Harris, AICPA chairman.
The workshop will cover the following topics:
