Susquehanna Financial Group Hires John Larkin to Manage Special Situations/Event Driven Effort
NEW YORK, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Susquehanna Financial Group, LLLP (SFG), the institutional broker-dealer member of the Susquehanna International Group of Companies (SIG), announced today its hiring of John Larkin. Mr. Larkin will be a senior producing sales manager with responsibility for managing SFG's special situations/event driven effort. Mr. Larkin will report to Charles Sweeney and Art Oswald and will be based out of SFG's New York office.
Prior to joining SFG, Mr. Larkin spent ten years working for Citigroup in various capacities ranging from a portfolio manager to an equity research salesperson. Most recently, Mr. Larkin was a global special situations group portfolio manager, responsible for establishing a complementary event-driven equity strategy within a $5 billion proprietary investment fund consisting of distressed debt, private equity and performing loans. Earlier in his career, Mr. Larkin was a portfolio manager for Citi Equity Proprietary Investments, managing a $200 million long-short equity portfolio specializing in event-driven situations such as restructurings, spin-offs, stub trades, post-merger situations and post-Chapter 11 equities. Mr. Larkin started his career with Citi as an equity research salesperson. Mr. Larkin earned his MBA from Cornell University's The Johnson School and his BA from the University of Vermont.
