Susquehanna Financial Group Hires Chris Caso as Senior Semiconductor Devices Analyst
NEW YORK, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Susquehanna Financial Group, LLLP (SFG), the institutional broker-dealer member of the Susquehanna International Group of Companies (SIG), announced today the continued expansion of its differentiated equity research coverage to include the Semiconductor Devices sector through its hiring of Christopher Caso as a Senior Analyst. Mr. Caso, who will be joining SFG's technology team and focusing on companies such as Intel, Texas Instruments, Broadcom, Marvell, and Maxim, will be based out of the company's New York office.
"Chris's coverage will be a strong complement to the work done by our growing technology team of Jeff Fidacaro (Consumer Technology and Hardware), Jamie Friedman (Financial Technologies), Marianne Wolk (Internet), and Ming Zhao (Chinese Internet and New Media)," said Mike Towey, SFG's Director of Research. "The addition of semiconductor device names will also help us leverage the technology trading efforts of Pat Quinn and Bryan Smith."
Mr. Caso brings a wealth of experience to SFG, including approximately ten years of equity research experience. Most recently, Mr. Caso spent nearly three years on the buy-side as a senior technology analyst and portfolio manager covering the semiconductor industry. Mr. Caso's deep industry knowledge, supported by frequent visits to Asia and Silicon Valley, allowed him to collect the data that enabled him to be one of the first analysts on the Street to identify both the upturns and downturns during the past several semiconductor cycles. Earlier in his career, Mr. Caso was a senior vice president at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co. where he led FBR's Semiconductor Device research team. Mr. Caso started his research career at Soundview Technology Group as a vice president focused on semiconductor research. In addition to Mr. Caso's equity research experience, he has more than nine years of industry experience in the semiconductor equipment and materials space, having worked at BOC Edwards in both the U.S. and Asia in multiple capacities. Mr. Caso earned a BS in Engineering from The Cooper Union School of Engineering and his MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business.
"The combination of Chris's industry expertise and his experience across both the buy-side and sell-side made him an incredibly appealing candidate for SFG," stated Cory Carlesimo, SFG's Head of Cash Equities. "His diverse background will enrich his analysis and enable us to deliver a differentiated research product to our clients."
