Susquehanna Financial Group Hires Bob Summers as Senior Analyst in the Food and Drug and Discounter Retailing Sectors

NEW YORK, April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Susquehanna Financial Group, LLLP (SFG), the institutional broker-dealer member of the Susquehanna International Group of Companies (SIG), announced today its hiring of Bob Summers as the Senior Analyst covering the Food and Drug and Discounter Retailing sectors. The hiring continues the expansion of SFG's differentiated equity research platform. Mr. Summers, whose coverage will include names such as Whole Foods, Kroger, Safeway and Walgreen, as well as big box retailers Wal-Mart, Target, Costco and BJ's, will be based in SFG's New York office.

Mr. Summers joins SFG with more than ten years of experience as an equity research analyst covering the Food and Drug retailing sector for Pali Capital, Bear Stearns, and Banc of America Securities. Earlier in his career, Mr. Summers was an equity research associate for Salomon Smith Barney in the furnishing and restaurant sectors. Mr. Summers earned his BA in Finance and his MBA from Virginia Tech.

Mr. Summers is SFG's 20th publishing senior analyst. His hiring further extends SFG's continuing growth in differentiated fundamental research. SFG plans to continue expanding its research footprint to 25 publishing senior analysts by the end of 2010.
