SUSE Launches Amazon Web Services Test Drive
Secure Messaging Service combines SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus and Yenlo Digilink to enable secure communication for governments and businesses
NUREMBERG, Germany, Nov. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SUSE® today introduced its first Amazon Web Services (AWS) Test Drive running on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server. The AWS Test Drive of the Secure Messaging Service is free, allowing customers to try a secure and reliable digital registered mail solution that meets international protocols and standards. The AWS Test Drive combines SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus and Yenlo Digilink (Digikoppeling) to enable secure communication for governments and businesses.
The AWS Test Drive program provides users with an easy and structured way to set up preconfigured solutions and test them at no cost or risk. The first in a planned series of SUSE-based AWS Test Drives, the Secure Messaging Service test drive is delivered in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) format and can be tested on the AWS Cloud at no cost.
"The AWS Test Drive program provides an ideal way for AWS users to test innovative solution stacks before deploying into production," said Naji Almahmoud, global head of business development for SUSE. "SUSE works with our partners like WSO2 and Yenlo to create these test drive opportunities so our enterprise customers get the most efficient access to the solutions they need. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server provides partners and enterprises a highly reliable, scalable and secure operating platform for deploying solutions like the Secure Messaging Service on AWS."
The Secure Messaging Service is a complete and integrated solution built on enterprise open source software that is easily expanded to provide additional security and identity solutions using open APIs, meeting the secure messaging requirements of local and national governments around the world. The service handles 200 average-sized messages per second, giving customers the information they need to make better decisions faster. It is easily scalable for heavier loads, having been designed for scale-out cloud environments with automatic load balancing to enable more and larger messages to be sent each second.
"Using the rock-solid foundation of WSO2 and SUSE, Yenlo has created the fastest enterprise XML Messaging Service (ebMS) available, delivering the most messages per second while complying with key standards," said Nevlynn Janssen, vice president of business development at Yenlo. "This speed lets users conduct business faster and be more responsive to customers and internal users. Availability through the AWS Test Drive program enables businesses and governments to quickly and easily test and deploy the solution."
Jonathan Marsh, WSO2 vice president of strategy, said, "The seamless integration of WSO2 middleware and Linux solutions from SUSE combined with Yenlo's technical expertise has enabled enterprises to rapidly address their business issues with innovative solutions. The Secure Messaging Service running on the WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus provides enterprises with an ebMS solution built on a high-performance, low-footprint service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is ideal for the AWS test environment."
The free AWS Test Drive for Secure Messaging Service can be found at aws.amazon.com/testdrive/suse. More information about the Secure Messaging Service is available at www.yenlo.com/en/digilink. After evaluating the service through the AWS Test Drive program, users may deploy the Secure Messaging Service into production use through AWS Marketplace, WSO2 or Yenlo.
