Susan Weiss Named Executive Editor, Content for USA TODAY
MCLEAN, Va., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- USA TODAY announced Susan Weiss, formerly managing editor of the Life section of USA TODAY, has been named executive editor/content. Weiss will be responsible for all editorial content on all platforms including print, online and mobile.
"Susan's experience at USA TODAY makes her uniquely qualified to serve as executive editor of content. She brings a keen sense of what readers want in USA TODAY and we think she's the ideal choice to lead the newsroom in content selection for all platforms," said John Hillkirk, editor of USA TODAY.
Weiss joined USA TODAY in 1983 as a copy editor in the Life section of the newspaper. She later held positions as TV editor and deputy managing editor before being named managing editor of Life in 1990.
Prior to joining USA TODAY, Weiss held positions at McCall's magazine. She is a graduate of Barnard College in New York where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history.
