SurveyMonkey Announces Mobile App and Mobile Feedback SDK
New app lets customers easily create surveys and analyze results in real-time, from anywhere; mobile SDK enables dynamic in-app feedback
PALO ALTO, Calif., Feb. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SurveyMonkey, the world's leading online survey platform, today launched its first mobile app to create, monitor and analyze surveys from anywhere. The company also announced the SurveyMonkey Mobile Feedback SDK, allowing developers to gather dynamic in-app feedback for making informed product decisions and improving app store ratings.
SurveyMonkey Mobile
The new app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch is designed for two powerful use cases: creating meaningful surveys on mobile, and the ability to monitor and analyze results in real time. Users can create quick, custom surveys and polls through an intuitive user interface, or more in-depth surveys with the help of simple-to-use templates designed by survey experts. SurveyMonkey's robust analytics engine powers the backend, enabling at-a-glance data analysis to make fast decisions, in the moment.
"The demand for making decisions quickly, no matter where you are, keeps increasing. We've seen a 14x increase in our mobile traffic over the past three years," said Dave Goldberg, SurveyMonkey CEO. "The old model of making decisions only while you're in the office no longer exists, thanks to trends like BYOD, and now Bring Your Own Services. SurveyMonkey was one of the first services people brought into the office and we've always offered a robust mobile solution for people to take surveys. Now, our mobile app allows organizations to gather and analyze critical data needed for real time decisions from any location, any time, fueling a smarter, agile and ultimately more productive workforce."
Untethered employees will now be able to easily send surveys while working outside the office, like in field or lab environments. Additionally, the app will now make it easier for employees to monitor results and react immediately to trends the survey identifies, like issues with customer satisfaction or campaign effectiveness. To facilitate these and other scenarios, SurveyMonkey Mobile features include:
- Intuitive mobile interface to create surveys and manage data with ease
- Response collection through email, social and website
- Powerful analytics engine to filter, compare, and analyze survey results in real time
- Expert-certified questions and more than 160 survey templates for simple survey creation
- Kiosk functionality for on-site customer feedback
- Advanced features like skip logic, page randomization, and more
- Export survey results as PDF, Excel, and CSV files
- Full security features: SSL-enabled, HIPAA compliant
The SurveyMonkey app is free and available today in the United States, Canada, Australia and most other English speaking markets. Customers can upgrade to a paid plan via the Apple app store or online at SurveyMonkey.
SurveyMonkey Mobile Feedback SDK
The SurveyMonkey Mobile Feedback SDK provides an easy way to collect qualitative feedback at any point during a user's experience within an app. This feedback can be harnessed as-it-happens to direct the user's experience. This type of dynamic, in-app feedback allows developers to enhance their products and address customer concerns to improve app ratings and decrease negative reviews.
Additionally, SurveyMonkey is partnering with Flurry Analytics, the market-leading mobile analytics solution used in more than 400,000 apps by over 125,000 developers, to integrate Flurry into the SurveyMonkey Mobile Feedback SDK.
The SurveyMonkey Mobile Feedback SDK will be released this year for iOS and Android. Developers can sign up now to enroll in the beta program and provide feedback on feature development: http://www.surveymonkey.com/mp/iphone-app-sdk/
