SURGE Accelerator Announces Next Generation Energy & Water Software Startups

HOUSTON, Feb. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- SURGE Accelerator today announced the second class of energy software startups with solutions for traditional energy, clean energy and electric power industries. SURGE'S portfolio also now includes a company targeting the water industry.

Over the next three months, SURGE companies will establish mentor relationships, land pilot projects, and prepare to raise subsequent rounds of capital. The twelve-week boot camp culminates in a demo day, known as "SURGE Day," on May 22 where each company will pitch to an audience of more than 500 of energy's leading experts and investors.

The SURGE Class 2 companies are: Bractlet (Atlanta, GA), Communificiency (New Haven, CT), Dynamo Micropower (Boston, MA), Energy Informatics (San Francisco, CA), Meshify (Houston, TX), Optimitive (Spain), RunTitle (Oklahoma City, OK), Secure-NOK (Norway), Skynet Labs (Ireland), The Metal Exchange (Houston, TX), WatrHub (Canada), and Waveseis (Denver, CO).
