SHEFFIELD, England, April 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ronnie O'Sullivan is now the 11/2 joint second favourite with the sponsors for the Betfred.com World Snooker Championship after completing a 10-2 first-round win over Dominic Dale.
The three-time former champion will play Shaun Murphy in round two and is 1/2 to win that match and 13/8 to fall to the 2005 Crucible hero.
Money continued to pour in for O'Sullivan, who made three century breaks against Dale and looked in scintillating form after a poor season by his standards.
Betfred spokesman Jon Wilde said: "It's getting to the stage where we will have a one-man book in the outright market such is the strength of support for Ronnie. His popularity means he will always have his backers, but they have been out in force following his drubbing of Dale.
"However, we are still happy to continue offering the best price about O'Sullivan because he has an extremely tough draw and is sure to be put under lots more pressure than in his first match."
Marco Fu was trimmed to 40/1 from 50s after opening a 6-3 lead over Martin Gould in their first-round match, with his opponent pushed out to 125/1 from 80s.
