Healthcare Staffing Agency Achieves Top Honors As Local Office Growth Moves Company Up to New Category Size
BUFFALO, N.Y., June 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Supplemental Health Care, a leading healthcare workforce solutions company, is proud to earn the "Best Place to Work" award in the large-sized company category by Buffalo Business First, a leading business publication in the region. Supplemental Health Care was recognized for its Travel Nursing division and local nursing office based in Buffalo, N.Y. The prestigious honor was presented during the newspaper's 12th annual Best Places to Work 2015 luncheon, which embodied the "Rock 'n Roll" theme.
"We are so honored to win this award two years in a row, especially since the Buffalo-based Travel Nursing division and local office grew so much this year and are competing against larger companies for the honor," said Cheryl Wilhelm, Supplemental Health Care's president of Travel Nursing. "Our workplace culture, as exemplified in our company-wide core values, motivates our office employees to achieve excellence in our daily operations with inspiring energy and enthusiasm. We are delighted to secure this recognition due to our dedicated associates that proudly champion a quality work environment for our recruiters and support staff every day which contributes to our high rate of retention."
With an overall Employee Opinion Survey score of 95.25, the average score rose almost a full point over last year's score of 94.31 out of 100. Additionally, more than 87.8 percent of employees participated in the voluntary survey to help boost Supplemental Health Care to the top spot in the large-sized (101-250) company category.
"When employees are happy and can see their contribution to their employer's success, it creates a sense of urgency to do the best job possible," Wilhelm said. "At Supplemental Health Care, our employees work hard to achieve the best results for our clients and have fun doing it. The camaraderie across teams and recognition from senior leadership contribute to the high morale in our office and others in the Supplemental Health Care network."
Supplemental Health Care's Travel Nursing and local Buffalo Nursing teams include 115 office employees and 1,000 nursing professionals. In 2014, the team successfully placed 5,000 field talent throughout Buffalo and the entire United States.
The "Best Places to Work" competition was facilitated by Quantum Workplace, utilizing employee engagement surveys that assess workplace dynamics across multiple categories including job satisfaction, corporate culture and professional development. The "Best Places to Work" honorees were showcased in a recent issue of Buffalo Business First.
