Prestigious Yankee Classic DanceSport Features Championships To Benefit AdMeTech Foundation's Dance for a Cure

WHAT: Prestigious national ballroom competition Yankee Classic stages professional celebrities of the ABC TV megahit show Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) in support of the AdMeTech Foundation's quest to create Manogram™: Life-saving imaging for men. Yankee Classic will feature Dance for a Cure Championships to benefit AdMeTech Foundation's programs in research and awareness which are aimed at creating accurate diagnostic tools for prostate cancer akin to life-saving mammography for breast cancer. While prostate cancer strikes 1 in 6 men and has become even more common than breast cancer (striking 1 in 8 women), men do not have reliable tools for early detection and treatment. AdMeTech Foundation's Dance for a Cure of Prostate Cancer was created to change that.
WHO: Superstars of Dancing: Nick Kosovich, an internationally respected professional dancer and Emmy award-winning choreographer for ABC's Dancing with the Stars (DWTS), Oxygen's Dance Your A*** Off, Shall we Dance and other Hollywood movies; he had coached Hines Ward of the football fame to the victory in the last season (spring 2011) and Donny Osmond to the victory in the fall of 2009. Shirley Ballas is a former World Latin Champion who was featured in the last season's DWTS as an eminent coach for Mark Ballas and Disney star Chelsey Kane. Charlotte Jorgensen, a former world amateur champion, was one of the original professional cast members and winners in the DWTS' first season (with actor John O'Hurley). They will be joined by David Oliveri, a lead dancer for Las Vegas' Le Reve where ballroom dancing has been choreographed by Maksim Chmerkovskiy and featured by DWTS.
Yankee Classic Organizers: Judi Hatton is currently the First Vice President of the National Dance Council of America and is the first woman to ever have attained this position. Cathi and John Nyemchek are former United States Professional Ten Dance Champions and recognized leaders of the dancing community.
