Superior HealthPlan Announces Summit and Everest Award Winners
Awards recognize providers for continued excellence in Quality Improvement
AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Superior HealthPlan (Superior) today announced the winners of two Quality Improvement awards for 2016. Riverwalk OB/GYN P.L.L.C. earned the Summit Award and Corridor Primary Care received the Everest Award.
Located in San Antonio, Riverwalk OB/GYN is currently under the leadership of Ricardo Muñoz, Jr., MD, F.A.C.O.G, Cristina P. Carreño Simpson, MD, F.A.C.O.G, Heather R. Williams, MD, F.A.C.O.G., Alka Arya-DeGaetano, DO, F.A.C.O.G., Lynn T. Parente, MD, F.A.C.O.G. and Vu Truong, MD, F.A.C.O.G. Corridor Primary Care, located in San Marcos, is led by Sue Ann Harrison, MD, Michael Grady, MD, Jeanne Flinn, DO, Jill Humphrey, MD and Gregory Moore, MD.

Superior annually recognizes providers that demonstrate a strong commitment to the well-being of Medicaid members. To earn the Summit Award, providers must have the highest quality scores, above network-average performance as well as favorable quality and cost indices and quality audits. The Everest award is given each year to a provider that has scored above the network plan average in Quality Improvement scores for three consecutive years.
This year's Summit Award winner, Riverwalk OB/GYN, aims to provide the highest quality patient care in the San Antonio area. Established in 1979 by Tristan Castaneda, Riverwalk consistently evaluates results of their efforts, includes all levels of faculty and staff in the identification and resolution of problems and aims to continue a strong research program to aid in the advancement of medical science. Riverwalk was recently the recipient of the 2016 COLA Laboratory Excellence Award, signifying its commitment to performing quality patient testing and overall laboratory practices.

Corridor Primary Care was established by Dr. Gregory Moore and Dr. Sue Ann Harrison in 1995. Corridor is made up of Pediatric and Internal Medicine physicians, with 14 providers, 11 medical doctors and three nurse practitioners. Since its inception, the Corridor Primary Care mission has been to serve the community in the best way possible and to provide care for the entire family.
