SunTrust Names Central Carolina Regional President and CEO
ATLANTA, May 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SunTrust Banks, Inc. (NYSE: STI) announced today that David Stevens has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company's Central Carolina Region, effective June 14. He is joining SunTrust from Wachovia/Wells Fargo where he most recently served as Carolinas Business Banking Division Manager. Prior to that he was Piedmont Triad Regional President.
SunTrust's Central Carolina Region is comprised of offices throughout the I-40 corridor from Wilmington to Morganton, including the major metropolitan regions of the Triad and Triangle and surrounding areas.
Mr. Stevens is replacing John Stallings who was named President and CEO of SunTrust's Mid-Atlantic Division which includes the Central Carolina, Hampton Roads, Central Virginia and Western Virginia regions.
