Sunshine Health Appoints Child Welfare Advocate, Glen Casel, To Board of Directors
SUNRISE, Fla., Dec. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sunshine Health announced today that Glen Casel, an experienced Child Welfare advocate, will join its Board of Directors. Glen is the President and CEO of Community Based Care of Central Florida (CBC-CF), which oversees foster care and adoption services in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. He also serves as CEO of Community Based Care-Integrated Health (CBC-IH), a statewide coalition of Community Based Care Agencies.

Glen has been an advocate for more than 20 years, serving children and families in Florida's Welfare system. Prior to his position at CBC-CF and CBC-IH, Glen served as Vice President of The Children's Home Society of Florida and spent 10 years in leadership positions at the Florida Department of Children and Families. Glen also held important posts in the community as Chair for the Florida Coalition for Children's Board of Directors and the Seminole County Children's Cabinet.
Glen is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in Public Administration and a master's degree in Health Services Administration. He resides in Central Florida with his wife and three children.
In September, the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) recommended Sunshine Health for a contract award as the Specialty Plan Medicaid provider for Child Welfare/Foster Care health insurance services in all 11 regions in Florida.
