Sunrise Senior Living Raises More Than $400,000 In The Fight To End Alzheimer's Disease
Sunrise Supports The Walk to End Alzheimer's as National Platinum Level Team
MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- For the fourth year in a row, Sunrise Senior Living is proud to support The Walk to End Alzheimer's® as a National Platinum Team. Sunrise communities across the country have been spearheading fundraising activities for the Walk for the past five months, and to date, have raised more than $400,000 through their local efforts. Since the partnership began, Sunrise teams have brought in more than $1.5 million for the cause.
"We understand the challenges and needs of caregivers, especially those who have loved ones with memory loss, and we're here to help," said Rita Altman, vice president, Memory Care and Programming for Sunrise Senior Living. "We offer more than 200 caregiver support groups throughout our communities each month, as well as an average of 40 brain-healthy activities per week.
