Sunridge Announces Marketing Roll Out of PNT in the Dominican Republic
FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz., Feb. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sunridge International (OTC Bulletin Board: SNDZ) announced today that it will be sending a medical team to the Dominican Republic the first week in March to assist S3G with its marketing efforts.
S3G is the exclusive distributor for Pneumatic Trabeculoplasty "PNT" and its disposable product line in the Dominican Republic.
Having completed a successful seminar with 10 local doctors, S3G received orders for a dozen units and the disposable rings use in the PNT treatment of glaucoma.
"We are going to send in medical personnel to treat patients and teach these initial doctors in the use of the equipment," states G. Richard Smith, CEO of Sunridge (www.sunridgeint.com). "While there, we will assist with two additional seminars being held in Santiago and Santo Domingo where we expect 50 or more doctors in attendance."
Sam Amegan, S3G's president said, "I want to build off the success of our first seminar. We have a great deal of interest from the doctors here because glaucoma is such an alarming problem in this country. It affects over a million people." Sam goes on to say, "PNT is important because not only is it safe and effective as a treatment, but it is cost effective and affordable to people who might not be able to afford getting treatment otherwise."
"This is going to be a very strong market for our disposable line because of the unusually high incidence of glaucoma in this population. Once success is proven here, we can expect rapid expansion throughout the rest of the Caribbean," states Mr. Smith.
Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness, affecting over 70 million people worldwide. PNT has been proven (through studies completed over the last 10 yrs) to be a safe and effective treatment with no adverse side effects associated with it, unlike typical forms of glaucoma treatment.
