SunGard Availability Services Showcases Cloud and Recovery Solutions at Gartner Data Center Conference
WAYNE, Pa., Dec. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Application availability is essential for data centers that run mission-critical business processes. However, there is no one-size-fits-all solution for companies to address the complexity of their IT environments. At the 2012 Gartner Data Center Conference being held from Dec. 3 to 6 in Las Vegas, SunGard Availability Services (Booth 311) will demonstrate cloud and recovery solutions that deliver the availability organizations need for production applications.
At the conference, SunGard Availability Services will showcase Enterprise Cloud Services, a fully managed suite of compute, network and storage resources delivered on a resilient cloud infrastructure. With a highly secure, enterprise-grade virtual data center infrastructure, the SunGard Enterprise Cloud delivers the high availability and scalability that customer operations demand for their most critical applications.
SunGard will also showcase its Managed Recovery Program, which helps organizations with complex IT environments take the pain out of application recovery. With this service, SunGard experts manage the entire recovery lifecycle for organizations, helping lower the cost, burden and risk in the recovery processes. Also at the booth will be SunGard Consulting Services, which leverages more than three decades of experience in business availability to help enterprises bridge the components affecting operational resilience—business continuity and disaster recovery, information security and IT risk.
The conference will feature a presentation by Richard Williams, a Solutions Architect at SunGard Availability Services, on "Application Availability Challenges." The session takes place on Monday, December 3 from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. in the Titian 2301A conference room.
In the session, Mr. Williams will examine reasons why all applications are not equal when it comes to their availability needs, and why availability requirements should be used to help determine the correct infrastructure required to support both production and disaster recovery.
