Sunbury National Guard Armory Public Bid Re-Issued with No Historical Restrictions, Bids Due December 6th
HARRISBURG, Pa., Sept. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The state Department of General Services today announced that parties interested in placing a bid for the purchase of the Sunbury National Guard Armory in Northumberland County can do so at any time between now and the bid closing time of 3 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2016.
In addition, minimum bid offering has been reduced to $135,000 and the department has removed the historical covenant from the property that would have required the purchaser to preserve the historical exterior of the property.
The Sunbury National Guard Armory is located at 206 Armory Road in the City of Sunbury, Northumberland County. The more than 23,000 square feet facility is situated on 10 acres of land.
The armory is no longer used by the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs, which has already moved personnel into newer readiness centers. The property is being sold via sealed competitive bid. Bid terms for the property can be found in the online bid package.
