Sun Trolley Welcomes New Executive Director, Robyn Chiarelli, Recent Recipient of the 2014 Women In Transportation Award
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Dec. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Downtown Fort Lauderdale Transportation Management Association (TMA), which administers the Sun Trolley and the Riverwalk Water Trolley, is pleased to announce the hiring of their new Executive Director, Robyn Chiarelli, the 2014 WTS South Florida Chapter Woman of the Year.

The WTS South Florida Chapter's Woman of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding female role model in transportation. Chiarelli was honored with this award at the WTS South Florida Chapter awards banquet on November 6, 2014.
Prior to joining the Sun Trolley team, Chiarelli worked for more than seven years with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), first as Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for South Florida Commuter Services, then as Project Manager for District 4. During her tenure as Project Manager, she administered the South Florida Commuter Services and School Pool Programs across a five-county region, oversaw the operation of 30 Park & Ride lots, managed the I-95 and I-595 Express Bus Programs, and spearheaded the Fare Interoperability Project across the entire state.

Chiarelli is active in the transportation industry, having served in numerous leadership positions for FDOT, the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA)/Tri-Rail, and the South Florida Education Center Transportation Management Association. She also holds numerous accolades, including a Prudential-Davis Productivity Award.
