Sun Trolley to Participate in Fort Lauderdale's 2017 St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The luck of the Irish will certainly be with the Sun Trolley as it once again participates in the annual Fort Lauderdale St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival! The 2017 St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at noon.
"We look forward to adding plenty of green to our red and yellow trolley for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade," said Robyn Chiarelli, Executive Director of the Downtown Fort Lauderdale Transportation Management Association.
As the Sun Trolley travels down Las Olas Boulevard, trolley ambassadors will greet bystanders by handing out treats and treasures.
"This year, we are giving away free tickets to ride because we want to invite everyone to enjoy the Sun Trolley experience," Chiarelli said. "With our red and yellow trolleys, fun is only a trolley ride away."
The Sun Trolley will be joined by various marching bands and decorative floats that will all fill the streets as parade-goers watch in a sea of green. In addition to the parade, there will be plenty of festivities to enjoy, including the St. Patrick's Day Festival from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. at Huizenga Plaza and along the Riverwalk. Highlights will include live bands, Irish dancers, interactive entertainment and cultural attractions.
