Sun Trolley Offers Passengers Another Chance to Win Big!

"With more and more working professionals choosing to leave their cars at the office, or at home and take Tri-Rail, they are using the Sun Trolley's free Uptown Link to get to and from popular lunch spots in Fort Lauderdale's Uptown Business District," said Robyn Chiarelli, Executive Director of the Sun Trolley. "This is our second Bring a Friend contest to entice our current passengers to invite their friends and vie for the chance to win a grand prize totaling more than $750!"

Ashley Clark, who works at Citrix in the Uptown Business District, was the winner of January's Bring a Friend contest. "The bright red and yellow Uptown Link trolleys are hard to miss, and a convenient alternative to using my car to go to lunch,"  said Clark. "Once I heard about the contest, I got all my friends to ride with me, and surprisingly I won – it was that easy."

The April 2016 Bring a Friend campaign will run from April 1, 2016 to April 30, 2016. To participate, passengers just need to Wave 'n' Ride one of the trolleys on the Sun Trolley's Uptown Link route, obtain a Bring a Friend card from the trolley driver, and then collect stickers for each new friend they bring on-board during the contest period.

The more entries (stickers) participants collect, the greater their chances are of being selected as the winner.

Cards must be submitted by May 6, 2016 to one of the Uptown Link trolley drivers or postmarked by May 6, 2016 and mailed to Sun Trolley's office at 290 NE 3rd Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301.

The winner, who will be selected at random, will be notified via email by May 15, 2016. To inquire whether you are a winner, you may call 954-TROLLEY.

The Bring a Friend contest winner will once again receive a $500 gift card and an Xtreme Action Park Play Day for Two Certificate, which includes one session for each person on the indoor asphalt go-kart track and the indoor ropes course, a $20 arcade play pass with $5 bonus play, and a Hershey's Ice Cream Shake for each person.

The free Uptown Link trolleys run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays from the Cypress Creek Tri-Rail Station, east on Cypress Creek Blvd. to the Uptown Centre, north on Andrews Ave., to Microsoft/Marriott, then back south on Andrews to the Cypress Creek Station, and west on Cypress Creek Blvd. to the Citrix Loop.

Free service on Sun Trolley's Uptown Link is made possible with a grant from the Florida Department of Transportation and in partnership with the City of Fort Lauderdale.
