Sun Trolley Executive Board of Directors To Celebrate 25th Anniversary on May 8, 2017
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Sun Trolley is riding its way into a quarter century of service! The Downtown Fort Lauderdale Transportation Management Association (DFLTMA), that operates the Sun Trolley and Riverwalk Water Trolley, is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Monday, May 8, 2017, and it promises to be a special day full of incredible deals and plenty of fun.
To ring in its 25th year, the Sun Trolley is offering a shiny new fleet (complete with a new trolley smell) as well as the relaunched, easy-to-use website and free Sun Trolley Tracker App, which lets customers track each trolley in real-time. The new and highly successful 24/7 customer service hotline, 954-TROLLEY, is available for those who have any transportation-related questions. Trolleys are also available for charter services.
"Our goal is to continuously improve our customer service and ensure that each guest has an unparalleled experience on our quaint red and yellow trolleys," said Robyn Chiarelli, Executive Director of the Downtown Fort Lauderdale TMA. "We at the TMA feel confident that our customers will enjoy our new and improved offerings before, after and during their one-of-a-kind trolley experience."
In honor of the anniversary, on May 8 each trolley will be handing out sweet treats. Starting Monday, May 1 and for 25 days thereafter, one reason to ride the Sun Trolley will be posted daily on Facebook and twenty-five loyal riders will also be highlighted on the Sun Trolley's website.
"We encourage all of our customers to join in on the fun on May 8 and give us feedback through Trip Advisor," said Chiarelli. "We want to use this to continue improving and providing our services into the next 25 years."
Founded in 1992, the Sun Trolley now provides community bus transportation to nearly 40,000 customers per month via seven routes, the Downtown Link, Galt Link, NW Community Link, Las Olas Link, Beach Link, Neighborhood Link and Airport Link. In October 2015 the DFLTMA partnered with the City of Fort Lauderdale and Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale to launch the free Riverwalk Water Trolley that transports an average of 10,000 customers per month across the New River.
