Sun National Bank Goes Mobile With mFoundry
Multi-Mode Sun on Hand(TM) Solution Allows Customers to Bank from Any Mobile Device
VINELAND, N.J., May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Sun National Bank announced today that it has partnered with mFoundry to launch Sun on Hand(TM), a state-of-the-art, fully integrated and comprehensive mobile banking solution for its customers. Featuring text messaging, mobile web and application technology, the program makes financial management possible anytime, anywhere for people with mobile phone access.
Sun on Hand(TM) provides Sun National Bank customers with secure access by allowing them to check account balances, search transaction history, transfer money, and pay bills via their mobile device. Launched in late February 2010, the integrated program supports interactions via instant text messaging (SMS), mobile web browser, and mobile applications for use on the iPhone, iPod Touch, Blackberry and other major devices. Recognizing that today's banking consumers seek enhanced connections to their financial institutions, mobile banking helps redefine convenience.
Sun recognizes the importance of further supporting customers with a specialized mobile application. "Our customers are on-the-go, whether they are students or graduates, working professionals, or parents," said Ed Malandro, Executive Vice President at Sun National Bank. "We are the first New Jersey-based bank to offer mobile banking. Sun on Hand(TM) addresses all of the needs of today's banking customer by bringing the entire experience right to the palm of their hand. Their closest Sun National Bank branch will be wherever they are." Developed to take full advantage of Sun's existing systems, this new product was tailored and deployed in just a short period. "We are thrilled to have been able to deploy this customized offering just a few weeks after cementing our relationship with Sun National Bank," said Drew Sievers, CEO and co-founder of mFoundry. "This aggressive response to a critical need took full advantage of existing systems while incorporating the latest technological innovations. As the market continues to develop, we look forward to working with Fidelity Information Services (FIS) to extend mobile banking delivery to SNB customers without online access."
