NEW YORK, July 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ThinkAdvisor, National Underwriter Property & Casualty, and National Underwriter Life & Health, all Summit Professional Networks properties, were named winners in six key categories in the American Society of Business Press Editors' 2014 Azbee Awards of Excellence program. The annual awards, representing outstanding work by magazines, newsletters and digital media, are largely judged by peers in the B-to B publishing industry. This year, they recognized the re-launch of the ThinkAdvisor.com website and the editorial excellence that is the hallmark of National Underwriter brands, including National Underwriter Property & Casualty and National Underwriter Life & Health.
Azbee awards for ThinkAdvisor.com included three Gold Regional wins: Best Website Design, Best Website Redesign, and Best Website Home Page Design. ThinkAdvisor.com is also a finalist for National Awards in the first two categories.
"With the rebranding of ThinkAdvisor.com last year, complete with its transformation to a responsive design site, these awards firmly position ThinkAdvisor.com as a leader in the ever-evolving digital media space. These enhancements underscore our mission, which is to offer our readers an optimal user experience while offering sponsors innovative and unique opportunities to reach advisors," stated Matt Weiner, Vice President, Group Publisher, Financial Network. "Marketers can now own a larger share of advisors' workflows, spanning traditional and high-impact web advertising to content syndication, custom programs and lead generation."
In addition, National Underwriter Property & Casualty won two Gold awards in two Northeast Regional categories for 2013 features, "The Sound of Thunder" and "Invisible Killer." "Both were collaborative, deeply humanizing stories that we are very proud of and really resonated with readers," said Group Editorial Director Bill Coffin. Both of those features are up for National Awards, which will be announced later this month. Additionally, LifeHealthPro.com won a Bronze award for "The Darkness Within," a compelling series on how the health insurance industry is failing the mentally ill. Coffin continued, "We are extremely pleased to have been recognized in this awards program, which is highly respected within the B-to-B publishing industry. These awards, across several of our brands, indicate the commitment and talent of many individuals working together to achieve excellence in both design and editorial content."
The Azbee is a highly coveted award in the Annual Awards Competition of the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) and recognizes outstanding work by magazines, newsletters, and digital media — websites, e-newsletters, digital magazines, and blogs. The regional awards were announced in June and will be followed by the national awards announcement this month.
