Summit Companies Has Completed 18 Add-On Acquisitions Under CI Capital's Ownership
SAINT PAUL, Minn., Oct. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Summit Companies, a premier fire and life safety company, has completed the purchase of five additional Michigan-based fire and life safety businesses in October 2018. Having established a presence in Michigan in July 2018, the acquisitions of these five businesses – Clark Fire & Safety (Owosso, MI); Mid-Michigan Fire & Safety Supply (Greenville, MI); VanEx Fire Systems (Luna Pier, MI); Fire Extinguisher Services (Battle Creek, MI); and Flametamer Fire Protection (Paw Paw, MI) – represent a strategic geographic expansion of Summit's existing fire protection, life safety, and consulting business. Summit Companies has locations in Arizona, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, and Wisconsin, and provides its services across the United States.
In July 2018, Summit Companies expanded into Michigan with the purchase of the two Michigan branch offices of Indianapolis, Indiana-based Koorsen Fire & Security. These offices, located in Northern and Central Michigan, were independent, long-standing fire protection companies prior to their acquisition by Koorsen. The most recent acquisitions expand Summit's presence in the state to Southern, Eastern, and Western Michigan. With these acquisitions, Summit gains a staff with many years of experience and a broader service offering throughout Michigan.
"The expansion throughout Michigan reflects the execution of Summit's national growth strategy and our company's focus on acquiring strong legacy businesses with successful operating histories," stated Summit CEO, Jeff Evrard. "We are thrilled to gain the many combined years of professional experience and expertise of these businesses, and to offer their customers a broader range of fire and life safety products and services."
"Having now completed 18 add-on acquisitions under CI Capital's ownership, Jeff and the Summit management team have expanded the company's geographic coverage and strengthened its service offerings and revenue mix," said Timothy Hall, Managing Director of CI Capital Partners. "We look forward to continuing to support Summit's growth."
