Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania’s 20th Annual Adult Camping Weekend welcomes more than Girl Scout alumnae; August 20-22 at Camp Tweedale in Chester County
MIQUON, Pa., June 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Who said summer camp’s just for kids? Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP) invites adults of all ages — and not just Girl Scout alumnae! — to its 20th Annual Adult Camping Weekend August 20-22 at Camp Tweedale (500 Bethel Road in Oxford, PA), which is fully planned, hosted and run by an all-volunteer committee. Activities include canoeing and kayaking at the nearby Octorara Reservoir, hiking, swimming, archery, wildlife exploration, evening campfires (with S’mores), crafts, and more.

Girl Scout alumna and archaeologist Stephanie Bartlett will attend and share stories about how her Girl Scouting experience influenced her professional interests.
Accommodations include cabins with modest toilets and showers (available on a first-come, first-served basis) and platform tents. Full-weekend cost is $50/person; Saturday-only cost is $40/person. Costs include all prepared meals, refreshments, and activities. Proceeds from a Silent Auction, 50-50 raffle, and sale of commemorative t-shirts benefit the GSEP Older Girl Scholarship Fund.
