Park Hotel Tokyo holds four art exhibitions a year, offering guests hospitality with Japanese aesthetics of each season. Fireflies are a common feature of summer night in Japan. For the summer exhibition, artworks which recall the trajectory of lights from fireflies will be displayed in the lobby and on the 31st floor.
Guests can enjoy original cocktail and dessert that perfectly complement the works on exhibit at ART Lounge. In the evening, powerful images with a motif of the exhibition works will be projected on the 30-meter-high wall.
Park Hotel Tokyo General Manager Yoshiaki Hayashi said:
"This will be an exhibition of line drawings using fluorescent pigment, which mimic the trajectory of lights from fireflies. Please enjoy the delicate lines and the objects that are seen inside."
Park Hotel Tokyo Art Project Director Yoshitomo Fujikawa said:
"Artworks are by Kenjiro Takada, artist who now draws attention with line drawings on thin fabrics. We hope that guests will enjoy artworks which are as if visualizing the rising up energy."
Park Hotel Tokyo hopes to present guests with the aesthetics of Japan to help them understand Japanese culture.
