KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The following statement is being issued by Epiq Systems, Inc. regarding the In re: Epiq Systems, Inc. Stockholder Litigation, Case. No. 1616-CV-18720:

To: All persons and entities who held common stock of Epiq Systems, Inc. (whether as a record holder or beneficial owner) at any time during the period beginning on and including July 26, 2016 through and including September 30, 2016 (The "Class").
PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY. YOUR RIGHTS WILL BE AFFECTED BY A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT PENDING IN THIS COURT.
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that Named Plaintiffs in the above-captioned consolidated stockholder action (the "Action") have reached a proposed settlement of that lawsuit with the Defendants (the "Settlement") that, if approved by the Court, will resolve all claims asserted in the Action as well as certain other claims (defined in the full printed Notice of Pendency and Proposed Settlement of Stockholder Action, Settlement Hearing, and Right to Appear (the "Notice")).
YOU ARE ALSO HEREBY NOTIFIED that a hearing will be held on December 8, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. Central Time in Division 7 of the 16th Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri at Kansas City, 415 East 12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64106, to determine: (a) whether the Class should be permanently certified for Settlement purposes, (b) whether the proposed Settlement should be approved as fair, reasonable and adequate; (c) whether the Action should be dismissed with prejudice and on the merits against all of the Defendants; (d) whether the Releases specified and described in the Stipulation and Agreement of Settlement dated September 26, 2017 (and described in the Notice) should be granted; and (e) whether Class Counsel's application for an award of attorneys' fees and reimbursement of Litigation Expenses should be approved.
Be advised that the Action has been preliminarily certified by an Order of the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri at Kansas City (the "Court"), dated October 5, 2017, solely for purposes of the Settlement, pursuant to Rule 58.02 of the Missouri Supreme Court as a non-opt out class action on behalf of the Class, except for the Defendants who are excluded from the Class by definition as set forth in the Notice.
IF YOU ARE A MEMBER OF THE CLASS, YOUR RIGHTS WILL BE AFFECTED BY THE PENDING ACTION AND THE SETTLEMENT. If you have not yet received the Notice, you may obtain a copy by contacting Court-appointed Class Counsel Donald. J. Enright of Levi & Korsinsky, LLP, or Richard A. Any objections to the proposed Settlement and/or Class Counsel's application for attorneys' fees and reimbursement of Litigation Expenses, must be filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri at Kansas City, and delivered to Named Plaintiffs Counsel and counsel for Defendants such that they are received no later than 14 calendar days before December 8, 2017, in accordance with the instructions set forth in the Notice.
