Autumn's rich and bountiful harvest, warm earthen hues and its romantic melancholy have long inspired the works of artists from the sonnets of John Donne to the paintings of Claude Monet. The designer's homage to the season features her signature intricate couture embellishments including hand-beadwork, floral embroidery, and seutache vines paired with skirts of taffeta leaves, petals of organza and satin flowers on dazzling gowns in mineral hues of rich umber, sienna, deep forest green, and glistening gold. The Romantic Melancholy moods of Autumn are given voice in a collection of Gothic-inspired gowns incorporating Victorian passementrie work and jet beading.
