Sue Ryder Reaps the Benefits of ActionCOACH Experience Through Coaching for a Cause

LAS VEGAS, Dec. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sue Ryder – a UK charity that provides health and social care services through hospices and community based programmes - has been enjoying support from a top business expert in the form of Berkshire-based ActionCOACH Business Coach Rob Pickering, as part of the ActionCOACH Coaching for a Cause campaign.

Rob has been helping Sue Ryder through The Big Wigs Challenge – an initiative started by the charity that challenges teams drawn from businesses and other organisations to transform an initial investment of  50.00 pounds Sterling into as much money as possible.

Rob's role involves mentoring half of the teams involved in the competition to help them maximise opportunities and market themselves effectively.

It is hoped that Rob's involvement will significantly boost the amount raised for Sue Ryder, which provides a vital lifeline for people across the UK with long-term illnesses and end of life needs.

According to Emily King, Corporate Fundraiser at Sue Ryder, Rob's involvement has proved invaluable:

"It has been really great having Rob on board," she explains. "The support and advice he has been able to offer to our Big Wigs teams has been incredibly helpful and this has certainly taken a lot of pressure off us."

Rob also leveraged a series of other business education events to benefit the group.

"He also invited the teams to a business networking event and that proved a fantastic way for them to promote the events they are running," she said. "One team even came away with the promise of a venue where they could hold their event, which was a great result!"
