Successful Pico Craft Beer-Brewing Machine Gains More Brewery Partner Diversity
Unique PicoPak offerings from new partners include THC-infused brews
SEATTLE, Nov. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- With PicoBrew's wildly successful Kickstarter campaign in its final hours already surpassing $1.3M in pre-orders, the company continued to announce new brewery partners. To date more than 76 craft breweries and brewmasters have licensed recipes to be made available as PicoPaks for the Pico, and available in the online PicoBrew BrewMarketplace. Most recent brewery partner additions include D9, Saucony Creek, Nickel Brook (Canada), Abita, and 21st Amendment.
Much of the strong customer demand for Pico stems from its ability to brew all major styles of beer, including a diverse array of styles from the breweries who have joined their PicoBrew Development Program. The innovative fully-automatic craft beer brewing appliance brews 5-liter mini kegs of fresh craft beer in about two hours. One key to Pico's ease-of-use are the convenient pre-packaged ingredient modules called PicoPaks, which may be purchased from the company's BrewMarketplace online PicoPak "marketplace".
"We are very excited to welcome more famous brewery partners like 21st Amendment and Abita into the PicoBrew Development Program," said Bill Mitchell, CEO of PicoBrew. "Now customers around the world will be able to enjoy fresh craft beers from these award-winning breweries, brewed in the comfort of their own homes."
Many smaller brewery partners have also recently joined the PicoBrew Developers Program to offer regional and very unique craft beer recipes to Pico customers. Northwest Pearl based in Olympia Washington, for example, is developing brown and a blonde ales designed to feature add-in THC-infusions (where legal). THC, also called delta-9-textradydrocannabinol, is the chief intoxicant in marijuana. At the start of fermentation, customers brewing their beers (in states where THC is legal) may add specific recommended THC oil-infused edibles, resulting in unique infused craft beers.
"With the Pico and our future Gnarly Sasquatch Brown Ale and Blunt Cut BlondePicoPaks, anyone can brew the ultimate beer in the comfort of their own home," says Mike Loterbauer, Brewmaster Consultant for Northwest Pearl. "And with a few glasses of these under their belts, I don't know how a new Pico owner could be any happier."
The Pico is available for pre-order on the PicoBrew Kickstarter page for a limited time starting at $575, which also includes an international version that is available to ship anywhere around the world
