Successful Closing of CPhI & P-MEC China 2016

With 16 years of accumulation, CPhI & P-MEC China extends deeply within the entire pharmaceutical industry chain, and has now developed into a well-known pharmaceutical annual event at both home and abroad. The show formed a one-stop pharma and food sourcing platform together with the concurrently held FiAC show, from pharmaceutical ingredients to CRO & CMO, biopharmaceuticals, natural extracts, pharmaceutical machinery, packaging materials, laboratory equipment, environmental protection & clean technology, pharma logistics, food ingredients, machinery and neutraceutical products. The total number of visitor reached 32,646, with an increase of 19% overseas visitors from 119 countries and regions, hitting a new record, this further established the international status of CPhI & P-MEC China in the industry. Building the growth momentum for international cooperation by taking the opportunity of "the Belt and Road" construction

A series of activities themed by "Year of Central and Eastern Europe Countries" were launched onsite this year. Nearly 100 delegations led by the Ministry of Health of Czech Republic, Hungary and other 14 central and eastern European countries visited the show for business exchange, which added infinite honor and motivation to CPhI & P-MEC China.

On Day 1 of the show, enterprise representatives from Central and Eastern Europe countries including Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, Romania and so on participated in the B2B program with nearly 30 Chinese healthcare enterprises. The event helped to enhance the understanding on mutual collaboration opportunities between government and industry representatives from medicine and healthcare industry of China and CEEC, and will definitely usher a better future.

Furthermore, Session on Healthcare Industry Collaboration of the 2nd China-CEEC Health Ministers Meeting & the 7th China-World CEO Summit was also grandly held during the show. The meeting focuses on cooperation of health industry between China and CEEC as well as seeks for new opportunities and new routes for bilateral cooperation. More than 30 government and enterprise representatives from several countries in Central and Eastern European, such as Czech Republic Hungary, Poland, Lithuania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia and Latvia, have participated in the meeting together with 190 Chinese enterprise representatives from more than 100 pharmaceutical enterprises.

Looking back, the venue was full of passion of exhibitors and visitors. 75 forums and summits were held onsite in total, including CPhI International Agencies Updates and Q&A Session, 3rd China BioPh Outlook Summit & Precision Medicine Development Seminar, Navigating the new regulatory environment for pharmaceutical innovation, Nature Ingredient Conference, and P-MEC Summit China 2016, etc. The high-quality forums and summits not only focused on leading experts and industry latest information, but also brought a series of "brainstorming" to the visitors onsite to inspire the thought collision of pharma professionals.

The 3-day show successfully held more than 190 B2B programs, participated by more than 400 buyers, including delegations from 16 Central and Eastern Europe countries, pharmaceutical executive buyer group and HC360 pharmaceutical industry buyer group, etc. The mode of "B2B program + sourcing group" was fully recognized and well received by the exhibitors and buyers.

Beside a number of onsite meeting events, a new online matchmaking service for overseas visitors was arranged pre-show this year, which successfully facilitated over 825 meetings across 3 days.

Moreover, the organizer also launched the brand new "Supplier Finder" system this year. Buyers can quickly find the exhibitors according to their needs by simply entering the company name, booth No. or product keyword, and a route will be shown on the screen directing the buyer to find exhibitor's location. 22,720 searches were generated throughout the 3-day show, which greatly enhanced the sourcing efficiency and gained high comments among the users.
