SuccessEHS Named 2013 EHR Direct Qualified Vendor for PQRS
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SuccessEHS today announced that the company has successfully completed the vetting process for 2013 Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) reporting and has been named a 2013 EHR Direct Qualified Vendor. The designation, given by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), recognizes vendors whose solutions provide the required clinical data elements for the 51 PQRS EHR measures, including all 44 of the Stage 1 Meaningful Use clinical quality measures. Some 2013 EHR Direct vendors, including SuccessEHS, are also qualified for electronic prescribing (eRx) Incentive Program reporting directly from the EHR.
SuccessEHS is also a 2012 EHR Direct Qualified Vendor. The company was one of only 24 vendors to earn that qualification, and one of only 16 2012 EHR Direct vendors to also be qualified for 2012 eRx Direct EHR reporting.
SuccessEHS's effort to maintain the most current PQRS qualification demonstrates the company's continued commitment to helping its clients successfully participate in government incentive programs as they prepare for landmark changes in healthcare regulation. As CMS moves towards implementing the Value-Based Modifier under the Affordable Care Act, the collection and reporting of accurate clinical data will become increasingly important. EHR Direct reporting is essential to positioning for the future under this new reimbursement model. Moreover, providers who successfully report clinical data to CMS under the Medicare EHR-based PQRS will simultaneously meet the clinical quality measure reporting standards for the Meaningful Use incentive program by participating in the 2012 PQRS-Medicare EHR Incentive Pilot.
In addition to the PQRS qualification, SuccessEHS works to maintain the highest available level of certification for Meaningful Use, including ONC-ATCB certification as a Complete EHR. CMS has indicated in its rulemaking processes that EHR-based PQRS reporting is the preferred clinical reporting method for the Meaningful Use incentive program, and has aligned the two programs under Stage 2 Meaningful Use. The strength of SuccessEHS's credentials for PQRS and Meaningful Use underscores the company's ability to position its clients for success in these programs both now and in the future.
"We are proud to be able to offer our clients the ability to participate in the Medicare Physician Quality Reporting System and eRx programs via EHR Direct reporting," said Tina Graham, COO of SuccessEHS. "Participation in PQRS is particularly crucial for our clients as it helps them avoid penalties, report clinical quality measures for Meaningful Use and prepare for value-based reimbursement."
