Dr. Sheri Bauman, professor and director of the School Of Counseling Master's Degree program at the University of Arizona, and producer Ashley Reid presented SUBMIT at the American Counseling Association (ACA) convention and expo in Cincinnati, Ohio, March 22, 2013. The event hosted professionals from across the world sharing opinions and ideas across the scope of bullying. Dr. Sheri Bauman and staff have volunteered to assist SUBMIT the Documentary to create user guides for educational and film screening purposes.
Justin Patchin of the Cyberbullying Research Center said, "Submit includes the requisite stories of those who have been affected most deeply by cyberbullying. Tina Meier, Donna Witsell, John Lowe, and others who lost their children as a result of, at least in part, experience with cyberbullying remind viewers that these behaviors cannot simply be ignored. We can learn a lot from what happened to Megan, Hope, and Johanna, and shame on us if we don't do things better the next time."
Tuesday, March 26 and Thursday, March 28, 2013 the SUBMIT production team is attending Westlake High School in Atlanta, GA to kick-off the school's anti-bullying campaign. On Tuesday morning, Westlake High School will promote Mix-It-Up day. The influential Stop the Violence Pep Rally will be held Thursday morning. Westlake Twitter: @westlakelions
