STW Resources names Water Industry Veteran, Alan Murphy, as President of STW Water Process & Technologies Subsidiary
Veteran water expert to lead subsidiary for STW's water reclamation activities designed for industrial, municipal, and oil and gas customers.
MIDLAND, Texas, June 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- STW Resources Holding Corp. (OTC QB: STWS) announced today it has launched a new subsidiary, STW Water Process & Technologies, to further enhance its water management solutions for the oil and gas sector, industrial and municipalities. It will continue to expand its water reclamation activities and will be servicing customers throughout Texas and Eastern New Mexico as well as other potential projects nationwide.
STW named water industry expert Alan Murphy as President of the subsidiary. Murphy joins STW from Bob Johnson & Associates, an engineering firm. Alan brings 20+ years of extensive industry experience to various municipal, industrial and commercial water & wastewater treatment facilities in consulting, design, engineering, procurement, operations, management and complete project oversight & construction throughout State of Texas. He has in-depth technical knowledge about various innovative technologies, especially different types of membrane filtration systems, thermal technologies, Water Recovery, Reuse, Reclamation Processes, brine discharge treatment systems and others.
STW Resources CEO Stanley Weiner noted that Murphy has been involved in the "hands-on" design, build and/or maintenance of over 300 water reclamation and municipal facilities in Texas and over 1000 systems worldwide. Alan has been intimately involved with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) in co-developing pilot policies and procedures. Alan is a TCEQ Certified Level 3 Water Treatment Specialist. Alan also has established relationships with top tier engineering firms.
Alan will be a featured speaker at the "Lone Star State Water Conference" in Austin, Texas on Wednesday June 25, 2014. This conference includes many top State Officials from the regulatory agencies in Texas and also municipalities, as well as representatives from oil & gas companies. The purpose of the Conference is to figure out water conservation issues facing the State of Texas and the use of different technologies. Desalinization is a major topic and Alan excels in this area.
STW Water offers a complete turnkey solution for customers' water issues. It offers technology integration designed by its engineers to process brackish and/or waste water for potable use in municipalities, produced and flowback water in the oil & gas industry at an economical price, and brackish water processing for use in the oilfield to replace the need to use fresh water for drilling and fracking operations. STW Water is in various phases of contract negotiation and design of systems for customers in all three of its target markets.
Murphy explained that STW Water's owner/operator business model "allows our team to provide custom built facilities based on the customers' requirements for a service fee." He noted that STW Water utilizes many technologies and is an environmentally friendly company. "By deploying 'green' technology when certain STW projects require zero liquid discharge and the use of no chemicals, STW is a leader in water solutions and preserving the environment," Murphy said.
Weiner added, "We will provide these water processing systems and services at a 'no upfront cost' business model to the customer. Water is processed to the specifications provided by the customer on a per barrel or per 1,000 gallons fee basis. We will also enter into joint ventures with our customers where they own equity in the systems or we will sell them the systems outright. STW will oversee the engineering, procurement and construction, as well as own and operate the facilities, and/or provide ongoing maintenance and service."
About STW Resources Holding Corp.
STW Resources Holdings Corp. consults and provides customized water analysis, reclamation and remediation services to a variety of complex oil and gas produced and flowback water, brackish water, industrial, and municipal applications throughout several geographic locations. As an independent solutions provider, STW utilizes proven technologies from various well-known manufacturers. These technologies are available as fixed or mobile units with varying capabilities. STW's process ensures that the most effective and efficient technologies are implemented. Current potential project locations include the Eagle Ford Shale (TX), the west Texas Delaware and Permian Basins (TX), and eastern New Mexico. STW is also involved in the oilfield dirt construction business providing roads, pits, locations, and water pond construction. It also offers evaporation covers for the elimination of evaporation on frack ponds used throughout the oilfield. Evaporation causes the operators millions of dollars in losses annually. Covering the ponds is a conservational and economic method of preserving one of our natural resources and can be floated on to existing ponds or installed during construction. It also eliminates algae growth, doubles as a bird net, and reduces erosion of pond infrastructure. High quality liners with fusion-welded seams, quality control testing including air tests of seams and destruction testing are also standard. STW Energy, a subsidiary of STW Holding Corp, offers a turnkey rig washing service and STW Holdings offers the ability and technology to process drilling waste fluids, tank bottoms, and oil based cuttings that will completely eliminate any potential future liabilities (Cradle-to-Grave) to the operators after they dispose of them. STW services include roustabout services for several major oil and gas producers too. STW's Pipeline Maintenance & Construction division aids oil & gas companies in connecting new wells so the oil & gas can be sold to market and helps maintain the integrity of their existing pipeline infrastructure.
