Riverso, Ph.D, P.E., CCM, chief executive officer and president of STV, was recently elected to the position of chairman of The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). This national organization is the leading organization advancing professional construction and program management worldwide. Its membership is comprised of more than 11,000 public and private organizations, owners and individual practitioners.

Riverso has more than 30 years of experience in program management, construction and design management. He joined STV in April 2005 as senior vice president of STV Construction Inc. and, later that year, was named its chief operating officer. Under his leadership, the Construction Management Division grew exponentially, and its range of services expanded. He became CEO of STV in 2011 and oversees the firm's five operating divisions: Construction Management, Buildings & Facilities, Energy Services, Transportation & Infrastructure, and International.
STV is involved with many prestigious projects throughout the country, including the program management of One World Trade Center in lower Manhattan, construction management of the new Delta International Terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, and the Anaheim Convention Center Expansion in California and design of the recently-opened preparatory school at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY.
Riverso is a strong and active advocate in the construction management industry. In addition to his new role at the CMAA, he is the chairman of the board of directors of the ACE (Architecture, Construction and Engineering) Mentor Program of New York. He also serves on the board of directors of the New York Building Congress as vice chairman and is on the board of advisors for the New York Section of the Society of American Military Engineers, and is a member of numerous other organizations.
The recipient of a number of industry awards, he will be honored most recently with the 2014 De La Salle medal from Manhattan College in January 2014.
Prior to joining STV, Riverso served in executive management positions at a number of construction management firms. He was also formerly the president and chief executive officer of the New York City School Construction Authority, where he directed the planning, design and construction of capital improvement and new construction of New York City's 1,200 public schools, which serve more than one million students.
Riverso earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Manhattan College, and master's and doctorate degrees from Purdue University. He is a registered professional engineer in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut
