HOUSTON, Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- STV, a leading engineering, architecture and construction management firm, recently announced the formation of a fourth operating division, STV Energy Services. The new division comprises STV's petroleum and gas, electrical transmission, and industrial process business, and its associated environmental practice.
"Because energy has been a growth market for STV, we have consolidated our resources into a separate entity to best serve our energy and industrial clients, and to position our firm for future growth opportunities," noted Dominick M. Servedio, P.E., STV's Executive Chairman.
Based in Houston, STV Energy Services is under the direction of Gerald Donnelly, P.E., Senior Vice President, who has been with STV since 1983. Donnelly developed the firm's energy practice with projects on the East Coast, the Gulf Coast and in the Midwest. In addition to Houston, STV Energy Services is located in Douglassville, Williamsport, and Pittsburgh, PA; Baltimore, MD; and Trenton, NJ.
"The outlook for this market continues to be extremely positive," added Milo E. Riverso, Ph.D., P.E., STV President & Chief Executive Officer. "The establishment of STV Energy Services as a separate operating entity is consistent with our strategic vision for success in a highly competitive national and global marketplace."
Recent major projects include the Motiva Crude Oil Delivery System for Sunoco Logistics, Port Arthur, TX; Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) Southern Reinforcement Project, Howard County, MD; and the award-winning Paulsboro to Malvern System Integrity Project, which featured a directionally drilled pipeline crossing under the Delaware River between Philadelphia, PA, and Paulsboro, NJ.
STV is an award-winning, employee-owned professional firm offering engineering, architectural, planning, environmental and construction management services through its four divisions, Transportation & Infrastructure, Construction Management, Buildings & Facilities, and its newest division, STV Energy Services. STV ranks 36th on Engineering News-Record's list of the Top 500 Design Firms. Throughout the United States and Canada, the firm offers services to a broad and ever-expanding client base. In addition to the energy industry, STV serves the transportation, design-build, institutional and commercial building, advanced technology, industrial and defense markets.
