StumbleUpon Hires Ari Balogh as Vice President of Engineering
SAN FRANCISCO, May 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- StumbleUpon, a discovery engine, today announced that Aristotle "Ari" Balogh, the former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Executive Vice President (EVP) of Products of Yahoo!, will become the company's Vice President of Engineering.
Balogh will report to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder Garrett Camp. He will oversee all of the company's engineering functions including product development, science, infrastructure and internal IT support. He will also become a part of the company's executive management team and will start with the company on June 1.

Balogh spent two and a half years at Yahoo! as CTO and EVP of products where he was responsible for product development including improving the quality of Yahoo!'s consumer experiences, accelerating innovation, and driving state of the art platform development. Prior to joining Yahoo!, Balogh was EVP, CTO and Head of Global Product Design for VeriSign, Inc., where he spent nearly ten years leading all product and internal technology. Before VeriSign, Balogh held leadership positions at SRA Corporation and Roadnet Technologies.
