"Stuff" Vintage-Modern Collective Throws Anniversary Bash and Announces Doubling in Size
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- "Stuff," www.StuffSF.com, the Vintage & Modern furniture and accessory collective in San Francisco and darling of Valencia Street, is hosting a 1-year anniversary party, open to the public, on Friday, February 17th from 5-10pm. Owners Will Lenker and James Spinello wanted to celebrate the smashing success of their first year in business by throwing one of their infamous parties complete with food, cocktails and DJ. They also wanted to celebrate the major announcement that they will double the size of their store to a staggering 17,000 square feet by opening "Upper Stuff" (the upstairs space at "Stuff") on March 23rd of this year. "The upstairs space was so amazing," says James Spinello, "we couldn't pass up the opportunity to have the largest collective in San Francisco. It's a dream come true."
The next big event, The Grand Opening soiree, sure to outdo even Will & James' legendary parties, will be on Friday, March 23rd and be a "Studio 54 at Stuff" theme featuring Go-Go dancers, Stuff-tinis and plenty of food. "We've gotten to a point in our lives where we just want to have fun in everything we do," says co-owner Will Lenker. "We're doing what we love and are passionate about it which is why I believe we've been so successful."
Over their first year in business, Stuff has been called the "anti-antique mall" because of their unconventional approach to vintage furniture and accessories. Wanting to create a hip, fun environment for all ages to be able to shop for vintage things, Stuff is always raising the bar for what a store should be. Mimosas on Sunday, movie night, parking lot flea markets and "Stuff the Streets" Art Fair are only a few of the cool events Stuff has offered in the past year. Recognized by 7x7 Magazine as one of the "Best of the City:2011," Stuff also garnered press from DailyCandy, 944 Magazine, Refinery 29, California Home & Design and the San Francisco Chronicle.
Stuff has become a major destination shopping spot for Bay Area Interior Designers looking for a one-stop-shop for one of a kind furniture and accessories. Manager Marty Scibilia, who has an encyclopedic knowledge of vintage wares, says, "There's no other place like Stuff in the Bay Area, even California. We are definitely the place to come if you're looking for unique and amazing pieces." California Home & Design says, "The dealers know treasure from trash, and they're selling the good stuff here."
