Study shows more fake traffic originates from Amazon AWS than any other provider of its kind

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla., June 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- According to research from Fraudlogix, a provider of advanced fraud detection solutions, Amazon's Web Services (AWS) is the leading source of fake (non-human) Internet traffic.

Fraudlogix examined a random sampling of two billion impressions over the course of a 30-day period from early March to early April of this year. These two billion impressions presented 63,626,085 unique IP addresses. These IP addresses were then checked against the company's extensive fraud database for reputational data associated with the IP addresses in order to categorize them as 'good' (most likely connected with real, human traffic) or 'bad' (associated with known fraud or non-human traffic).
