Study Proves Mechanical Skin Stimulation Increases Tissue's Ability to Respond to a Lipolytic Agent by 70 Percent
LPG Mechano-Stimulation® Helps Break Up Stubborn Fat Reserves
MIAMI, Nov. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- A recent scientific study shows groundbreaking promise in non-invasive fat reduction. French researchers have found that mechanical skin stimulation using the latest Cellu M6 technology from LPG, results in a 70 percent improvement in the body's ability to naturally break up and release stubborn fat pockets resistant to diet and exercise.
Led by Professor Max Lafontan of Rangueil Molecular Medicine Institute in Tolouse, France, the study demonstrated that mechanical skin stimulation with Cellu M6 technology from LPG, known as Endermologie™, improved the body's ability to naturally eradicate fat cells without lasers, heat or invasive surgery.
According to Lafontan, "There was a 70 percent increase in the tissue's ability to respond to a lipolytic agent. From this result, we can easily extrapolate that tissues' responses to natural lipolytics will also be enhanced."
Specific fat cells, known as gluteofemoral adipose tissue (GAT) cells, are relatively slower to naturally breakdown stored fat, making them especially resistant to diet and exercise. So while women may see overall weight loss, they may continue to see excessive volume and dimpled skin in common trouble spots like mid sections and thighs, where these cells are concentrated. This study indicates, however, that when combined with mechanical skin stimulation, stubborn areas will respond more favorably to diet and exercise.
The team treated 12 healthy Caucasian women as they underwent two 30- minute treatments for 6 weeks. Researchers monitored the breakup of fat cells via small probes and a DNA microchip implanted in the tissue. To learn more, please visit www.LPGEndermologie.com for the full study.
