Students to Participate in 13th Annual Trading Competition at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management
TORONTO, Feb. 17, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- For the 13th year in a row, students from global business schools and universities will participate in the annual Rotman International Trading Competition (RITC). The students, along with their faculty advisors, from 52 different universities from as far away as China, Thailand, Ireland and South Africa will have their skills tested in the competition which takes place from February 18 to 20 at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management. Teams from LUISS University in Italy have won the competition for two consecutive years.
The competition takes place in the Rotman School's BMO Financial Group Finance Research and Trading Lab and will utilize the Rotman Interactive Trader, an order-driven market simulator, which was developed in-house at the Rotman School. Teams will participate in various activities including electronic and outcry trading cases, seminars with industry practitioners, and social events with their fellow competitors.

The Rotman School's BMO Financial Group Finance Research and Trading Lab is designed to promote experiential learning in the area of financial markets and data.
