Students From Around The World Take Flight In New Careers in Texas
DENTON, Texas, April 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- If you've watched the movie Forrest Gump, you may remember the scene where Forrest introduces you to his Army platoon. You quickly get the understanding of what an eclectic bunch of men were with Forrest on his mission. If you were to walk on to the Campus of the US Aviation Academy based in Denton, TX you would get a similar feeling. Students from around the globe are all training in this little gem of a facility tucked into the corner of one of the fastest growing small towns in America just outside the hustle and bustle of the big cities of Dallas and Fort Worth, TX.
When you walk in you might walk into a young woman from right around the corner in Corinth, TX or you might meet one of the hundreds of international students from all four corners of the globe that train right here in Texas. US Aviation Academy is one of the leading global pilot training facilities in the world. "Our facility is state of the art with all of the best flight simulation software and programs available anywhere in the world, which attracts many of our international students," said Mike Sykes, President of US Aviation Academy.
Students from the following countries have attended and graduated from US Aviation Academy in the last few years including: All 50 States in the US, China, India, Egypt, Australia, England, South Africa, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE just to name a few. "We have a contract with the country of China to train each of their pilots right here at our Denton, TX facility," stated Mike Sykes. "With English being the international flying language, American facilities have a distinct advantage over other international flight training facilities when combined with our advanced facilities and high standard of living. America is still a place most international students want to come and advance their education whether in physics or if they want to learn to fly," stated Chris Ramey, Director Of Instruction at US Aviation Academy.
There are a few very obvious things that seem to make US Aviation Academy such an attractive destination and one of the fastest growing flight schools in the world. One is their people. They understand international flight training. This may sound simple but the process of bringing students over from other countries to our country to learn to fly is a very sensitive subject for many people. The US Aviation Academy personnel take this matter very seriously and each student must pass through the government's stringent criteria to be able to attend their campus and learn to fly here in the US. Their facility is new and features the latest technology. The latest and greatest tools and equipment always attract the best and brightest students. Another great asset of US Aviation is their variety of flight training options and aircraft a student can choose from. "We really do offer everything you need to go from day 1 to a certified flight instructor building your hours to get ready to fly for the big commercial carriers," said Chris Ramey.
Denton itself has been in the news recently with its nomination to compete to be named "Best Small Town in America" by Rand McNally and USA Today.
