Students Can Save $16 on a Visit to Cedar Point During Student ID Weekend May 21-23
SANDUSKY, Ohio, May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- With classes ending soon, Cedar Point will be offering students a great way to celebrate the end of the school year. During Student ID Weekend, Friday, May 21 through Sunday, May 23, students (kindergarten through college) will be able save $16 on a one-day ticket to the Sandusky, Ohio, amusement park/resort.
During this three-day event, students will be able to purchase a regular one-day ticket to the park for only $29.99, a savings of nearly 35 percent. To qualify for the discount, students must present a valid student ID at any of the park's cashier booths located near an entrance to the park.
With 74 rides, including 17 roller coasters, Cedar Point has more rides and more coasters than any park in the world. Among its unmatched coaster collection are Top Thrill Dragster that tops speeds of 120 mph, the 310-foot-tall Millennium Force and Magnum XL-200, a 20-story-tall coaster located along the Lake Erie shoreline. For the little ones, Planet Snoopy and Camp Snoopy are two of four ride areas that provide an abundance of entertainment that can be shared with Mom and Dad.
The park will also present several live shows including the new Tropical Heat, Island Beat in the Red Garter Saloon on the Frontier Trail that will feature popular tunes from Jimmy Buffett and Gloria Estefan.
The park's newest addition, the Shoot the Rapids water ride, is expected to be in operation for the Memorial Day Weekend beginning Saturday, May 29.

Another special event will also be held before the kickoff of Student ID Weekend. On Thursday, May 20, Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) drivers Joey Coulter, Patrick Sheltra, Robb Brent and current point-leader Justin Marks will be at the park to greet guests from 2-4 p.m. near the Top Thrill Dragster roller coaster.
