"North Carolinians enjoy choices in a variety of areas," said Rhonda Dillingham, Executive Director of the North Carolina Association for Public Charter Schools. "Consider barbecue. Hickory-smoked or vinegar-based...we all have a preference! Education is no different. Home, private, magnet, virtual, lab, district and charter schools provide parents options so they can make a choice that meets the needs of their children. Join us as we celebrate school choice!"
This event is organized by the North Carolina Association for Public Charter Schools, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing quality educational opportunities for all North Carolina children by supporting and expanding successful charter schools.
As a nonpartisan, nonpolitical public awareness effort, National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for students, families, and communities around the country. From January 20 through 26, 2019, more than 40,000 independently-planned events will be held in celebration of the Week. For more information, visit www.schoolchoiceweek.com.
