Stronger than the Storm Brings Kites and Castles to the Jersey Shore This August
Kites and Castles features a kite making workshop and a sandcastle building workshop with a world-renowned sand sculptor plus family friendly beach games
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., July 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Stronger than the Storm, a comprehensive consumer campaign developed to raise awareness of the Jersey Shore's recovery, brings Kites and Castles (#kitesandcastles) to a number of Jersey Shore towns this August, including Ocean Grove, Ventnor City, Seaside Park, Cape May City and Asbury Park. To entice children of all ages, the day will feature an array of family friendly activities such as kite making and flying with expert kite flyers and sandcastle building with a world class sculptor, who will also create a sand castle of his own.
Each Kites and Castles event will bring a firsthand interactive experience, whether it's watching World Class Sand Sculptor Matt Long design a sand sculpture or taking his workshop as he teaches the tricks of the trade on how to master sandcastles or discover how to make a kite and fly it with Mike and Seal Dallmer of the South Jersey Kite Flyers Club. This fun filled family event is sure to bring out the creative side of every child and adult that participates.

This August, the Kites and Castles tour will make stops in Ocean Grove on Saturday, August 3rd from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Middle Beach at the intersection of Ocean Pathway and Ocean Avenue; Ventnor City on Thursday, August 8th from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Cambridge Avenue and Atlantic Avenue cross street Beach Entrance; Seaside Park on Saturday, August 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Stockton Avenue Beach Entrance; Cape May City on Saturday, August 17th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at "The Cove" at Beach Avenue and 2nd Avenue; and Asbury Park on Saturday, August 24th.
