Stroller Warriors, a running club for military spouses, receive nine 99-second shopping sprees at 99 Cents Only Stores to donate items to military families in need

CITY OF COMMERCE, Calif., Aug. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Stroller Warriors® is a free running club for military spouses and their family members.  Their mission is to help military families around the world live happier, healthier lives through fitness, friendship and community outreach. On Thursday morning, August 11th, nine Stroller Warrior moms will put their running skills to the test with 99 seconds to grab their carts and load up on groceries, back to school items, hygiene products and more at the 99 Cents Only Stores location in Oceanside. The Stroller Warriors have decided to donate all of the items collected in their shopping sprees to Fisher House, Camp Pendleton, an organization that provides a "home away from home" at no cost for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers.

"Our Warriors are ecstatic for the opportunity to collect and donate items that will make Fisher House guests' stay more comfortable, so they are free to focus on their family members' health and treatment," says Sharon Grummer, Stroller Warriors Camp Pendleton Coordinator.

The event will be held at 7:30am at the 99 Cents Only Store located at 1036 Mission Ave, Oceanside, CA 92054.
